Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in Microsoft Word file, PDF and LaTex format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts are encouraged to be submitted via the journal’s OJS system online. If there are some barriers on submission, please reach out to the journal editor for help.

The publisher only publishes articles written in English with a concise style. Copyeditors may check the language and make editorial changes if necessary. Please refer to the language policy.

Cover letter

Authors must prepare a cover letter during the submission stage. A cover letter usually should contain the statement of originality, innovation, significance, previous research, conflict of interest, data availability, and authors’ contributions, and elaborate the use of AI tools, etc.

It should clearly indicate that the manuscript has not been considered by other journals, and the approval of submission from all the authors has been obtained. Authors could also recommend a list of reviewers or avoidable reviewers.

Template

Sin-Chn Scientific Press only receives Microsoft Word and LaTex files. Please prepare the manuscript following the manuscript specific template.

Manuscript text

The structure of an article (original research) should usually include the title, author(s), affiliation, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, conclusion, discussion (optional), acknowledgments (optional), funding (optional), conflict of interest, declaration (optional), references, and appendix (optional). Below is the structure guide of different types of articles.

Authors could add supplementary data link(s) or other process data related to the results in the Appendix section.

Author contributions

Sin-Chn Scientific Press asks authors to comply with the authorship policy before submitting a manuscript, and requests all the authors in a research article to declare their specific contributions if there are more than one author. The declaration of authors’ contributions is not mandatory in other types of articles.

Those do not act as the authorship but do support this study should be credited in the Acknowledgments section.

Funding

Journals in the publisher encourage authors to declare grant funding, e.g., name of fund, number, funder, project duration, etc.

Conflict of interest

All the publications must declare potential conflicts of interest, including funding or relationship among the editors, authors, and reviewers.

Production

Manuscripts accepted by the journal will be produced by type-setting editors. Authors and editors must do their best to minimize errors in the article. Authors are required to proofread the galley. Galleys that have been proofread by both authors and editors will undergo final review by the Editor-in-Chief. Only after the final review will the article be posted on the journal website.

Errors are inevitable. Please refer to the Correction, Retraction and Withdrawal policy for some situations.

Appeal and complaint

Authors should reply a report with point-by-point details of explanation, or appeal against a rejection by e-mail to the Editorial Office within 30 days. The Editor-in-Chief will organize a team of experts to hold an academic debate, and the final decision will be validated by the Editor-in-Chief at this stage.

Any appeal or complaint against unethical issues before or post publication is welcome to reach out to the Editorial Office. The Editor-in-Chief will investigate these allegations regardless of whether the article is at the editorial decision stage or the processing stage.

Article

Articles should include original research that makes significant contributions to the field. The study should provide new results or discoveries in a subject area that have not previously been published. Major results, methodology importance, and substantial evidence supporting the conclusions should be included.

Review

A review summarizes recent research findings and noteworthy developments relevant to the journal's focus. It should include critical appraisals of novel technologies, evaluations of topic advancement, clarification of unsolved concerns, comparative analysis with extensive coverage of past works, and a focus on future prospects.

Book Review

A book review is a concise piece of writing that provides an overview of a book. The title of the book review should contain the title of the book as well as the names of all the authors. A book review may discuss the book's scope, subject, and quality in addition to offering criticism.

Communication

Communications are brief pieces that offer novel results. They may also involve innovative procedures or experiments, as well as the creation of new technologies or materials.

Hypothesis

An article proposing a new hypothesis or theory with a new interpretation of recent data or findings in the field.

Opinion

Opinions are brief pieces that express the author's thoughts on a specific topic, technique, or recent findings.

Perspective

Perspectives typically highlight current advancements in a particular topic. Unlike a review, perspectives should emphasize the author's personal assessment, as well as the field's future directions.

Brief Report

Brief reports are shorter than research articles, presenting preliminary findings or small-scale studies.

Privacy Statement

The publisher respects and does its best to protect the privacy of all visitors, authors, and participants in the editorial process. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties except as necessary for the editorial process.

The information collected

When you visit the website, your visit record will be created automatically, such as IP-address, access time, and the content viewed.

If you register an account, your personal information will be collected for account management, such as user name, email, and mail address. Users could contact the Editorial Office to remove your account.

If you pay for APCs, your name, article ID, and billing addresses will be recorded automatically.

Privacy protected

All the personal privacy is protected by international servers. IT staff will take technical measures to safeguard all the information collected from disclosure and loss. If you have any complaint or obstacles to access our websites, IT supporters will serve you to finish or withdraw any processing.

Declaimer

Visitors may access third parties’ websites through the links on our websites, but the publisher declaims loss due to any information collected by those third parties.
